THE OPTICAL FILM FORMATION ANALYSER
First commercial instrument based on optical MS-DWS technology, Horus™ allows monitoring of the motion of sample microstructure from all kinds of film-forming product on various types of substrate. It works on any kind of films or coatings like inks, paints, vanishes, resins, binders , cosmetic films
APPLICATION FIELDS
Drying & curing of:
-
Paint
-
Ink
-
Resins
-
Binders
-
Varnishes
-
Adhesives
-
Cosmetics
FLUIDITY FACTOR: A KEY PARAMETER TO MONITOR FILM FORMATION
Thanks to the unique and patented A.S.I.I (Adaptive Speckle Image Interferometry) processing, evolution of the luidity factor versus time is displayed in real time providing a wide range of information such as:
Microstructure change
(particle packing, particle deformation, curing)
Drying time
(open time, touch-dry time, dry-hard time, )
Curing time
MS-DWS AND A.S.I.I. PROCESSING
Using Multi-speckle Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy (MS-DWS), particle motion is probed while the film is forming. The Adaptive Speckle Image Interferometry (A.S.I.I.) processing enables to record dynamic of change from very fast to very slow particle motion. The dynamic of change is quantified via Fluidity factor versus time.
MAIN ADVANTAGES
-
Optical analysis of Film forming product
-
Microstructure analysis
-
Non intrusive method
-
Measurement on any kind of substrate
A VERSATILE DEVICE
Horus™has been designed as an open configuration to run experiments with automatic coater and/or vaccum bed. It works on any kind of substrate: Metal, glass, plastic; wood, concrete, paper…
